My favorites on this list: WE’VE GOT TO GET IT ON AGAIN, SUAVECITO, VINCENT, THE WAY OF LOVE, A COWBOY’S WORK IS NEVER DONE, JUNGLE FEVER, I GOTCHA and THE FIRST TIME EVER I SAW YOUR FACE. WODS should play them more often during the week–I’m SICK of AMERICAN PIE!!

I actually liked The Power Station’s cover of BANG A GONG (GET IT ON) better than T-Rex; on the flip side I prefer The Tokens’ original THE LION SLEEPS TONIGHT to Robert John’s God-awful cover of that tune.

Great to be hearing AT40 again. You never hear dee-jays explain songs like Casey Kasem does. All dee-jays do is talk about the next statin’s promotion. The great example is when he talks about the song “Vincent” by Don McLean.

Hi, just want to let you how this music brings back many valuable memories. Definately another time! Keep it coming! GO SOX!!!

Love the countdowny each week – King Heroin by JB is really something!

  • Rick

What a great countdown – lots of my faves from ’72, including not one, but two songs by Nilsson; Joe Tex, Taurus by Dennis Coffey, Suavecito – the hits go on and on . . .
