The National Christmas tree is lit by US

This Thursday is the 89th lighting of the National Christmas Tree on the National Mall in Washington, DC. It’s a must see event in the nation’s capital – and this year, you can watch it live too.

[photogallerylink id=25737 align=left]Every year, thousands gather in President’s Park, in the shadow of the Washington Monument to watch the President and First Family light the National Christmas Tree. This year, pop artists One Republic, Will I Am, Big Time Rush, will join President Obama, Kermit the Frog, and Santa Claus in flipping the switch.
