Paul McCartney to Take Part in Summer Olympics in London?

It’s unclear at this time what his level of involvement would be, but the former [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Beatles[/lastfm] star is in talks with Olympic organizers planning “something” for the London games.

During a recent press conference where McCartney was promoting his upcoming album Kisses on the Bottom, he mentioned briefly his plans for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

“I am seeing [an Olympics organizer] because there is something they want me to do. I might be doing something in the Olympics. I won’t know until then.”

We know he won’t be competing in any events, so, for speculation purposes, that only leaves room for performing at the opening or closing ceremonies or being the Olympic torch carrier.

We’ll just have to wait and see.
