Madonna has been putting in 12 hour work days in preparation for her Super Bowl halftime show to ensure that the performance is a memorable one.

The Material Girl is pushing for an early release on the first single off her upcoming album – “Give Me All Your Luvin,'” featuring  Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. - to help capitalize on the Super Bowl exposure.

Apparently, the music veteran is teaching the young stars a thing or two about work ethic, leading by example and forcing them through a strenuous work schedule.

Sources tell The Sun newspaper:

“Madonna has been brutal in rehearsals. Although they’ve been having a laugh, they’ve been doing up to 12 hours in a New York studio.”

The source added:

“She’s saying they can sleep after the Super Bowl. She’s involved in every aspect of the show, including Nicki and M.I.A’s outfits. Nicki has been telling pals it’s the most grueling thing she has ever done and wouldn’t expect anything else, calling it an ‘epic learning experience’.”

Lackluster performances have been plaguing the Super Bowl lately and Madonna is making sure that trend doesn’t continue.

Either that, or she’s REALLY trying to prove Elton John wrong!
