Beach Boys to Reunite Onstage at Grammys

Matt Dolloff, CBS Radio Boston

What was once rumored is now official: The Beach Boys¬†will¬†bring their 50th anniversary reunion to the Grammy Awards. This Sunday’s telecast will feature a special performance by the newly reunited legends.

According to a Grammys press release, Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Bruce Johnston, Al Jardine and David Marks will perform live together for the first time in over 20 years as part of the show.

Modern stars Foster the People and Adam Levine of Maroon 5 will join the band on the stage for a special collaborative performance. Those unfamiliar with those artists can rest assured it will be great; Levine has a wonderful singing voice and Foster the People are known for their electric live performances.

The performance will likely be a tribute of sorts to the Beach Boys, with a career-spanning medley of hits. What songs – well, besides the obvious ones like “Surfin’ USA” and “Good Vibrations” – do you think they will play?
