Weekend ’80s Flashback: Dire Straits, Michael Jackson Win Grammys

Best Rock vocal performance at the Grammy Awards in 1986 went to the Dire Straits’ “Money for Nothing” which features the famous line “I want my MTV!”

Of course, MTV also rewarded the band for that line (and the song’s classic video) by showering it with awards at the Video Music Awards that same year.

  1. I was wondering has the Original Beach Boys Member ever won a Grammy. I know that they will be on the Grammy via their reunion!!
