Madonna Separating Herself From The Pack in Billboard Chart History

Madonna’s new single “Gimme All Your Luvin'” featuring [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Nicki Minaj[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]M.I.A.[/lastfm] has reached #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in only its second week.

It’s the 38th time in her career that she’s landed a Top 10 song in the Billboard Hot 100.

The first single off her upcoming album MDNA, due out March 26, has driven her further away from the 2nd place Beatles, who have 34 Top 10 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

A list of artists with the most Top 10 Hot 100 Hits (Note: The charts began Aug. 4, 1958):

  1. Madonna: 38
  2. The Beatles: 34
  3. Michael Jackson: 28
  4. Stevie Wonder: 28
  5. Mariah Carey: 27
  6. Janet Jackson: 27
  7. Elton John: 27
  8. Elvis Presley: 25 (career predates the chart’s inception)
  9. Whitney Houston: 23
  10. The Rolling Stones: 23
Madonna first reached the chart’s top 10 when “Borderline” peaked at #10 the week of June 16, 1984.
