We reported earlier this month that Adam Lambert will join Queen for their upcoming tour, but at this juncture it appears that Lambert will only appear for one show in July.
“One show too many” is what the majority of classic rock fans are crying out because, to them, Marc Martel seemed liked a better choice.
But whether you love the decision or hate it, Lambert is the one chosen to replace the legendary Freddie Mercury.
Lambert tweeted yesterday:
Queen, with Lambert, will headline Day 2 of the Sonisphere Festival at Knebworth Park in England – the site of Queen’s final concert with Freddie Mercury in 1986.
Brian May said of the collaboration:
“Judging by my incoming mail, this decision will make a lot of people very happy. It’s a worthy challenge for us, and I’m sure Adam would meet with Freddie’s approval! And what better place to revisit, and walk those emotional paths than Knebworth? It will be a rush.”
What do you make of Queen’s decision to employ Adam Lambert?
