Terry Francona Will Not Be At Fenway Park For The 100th Anniversary Celebration. Karen Blake’s “Sports For Ladies”.

Why is Tito skipping the Big Bash next week?

Terry Francona should be at Fenway next Friday when the Red Sox mark the 100th anniversary of the greatest ballpark in the country! The team plans to honor players-past and present-who hold a special place in the hearts of Red Sox Nation. Terry won two World Series while he was here and fans love him.

But the way ownership handled his departure really left a bad taste in his mouth. According to Tito, ownership “went out of their way to make [him] look bad.”

I think it’s sad. Tito is the guy who kept the “Idiots” plugging away in 2004 and managed a mix of high-priced-superstars and underpaid-rookies to a second World Series win in 2007. But you know what, I don’t blame him! To his credit, he said he hopes fans have a great day and a wonderful celebration!
