Family Members Question Cissy Houston’s Motives Behind Tell-All Book

Is Whitney Houston’s mother trying to cash-in on her own daughter’s death?

That’s how some family members feel about Cissy Houston’s deal with Harper-Collins to write a tell-all memoir about Whitney’s life.

Sources close to the family told TMZ that Cissy Houston’s deal is “a lame attempt to make money” and that the singer’s mother is upset about Whitney leaving all of her money to her daughter, Bobbi Kristina, instead of her.

One source reportedly said that the book is merely a publicity stunt.

“She will try to come out looking like the world’s greatest mom, when in actuality, she wasn’t.”

The book is scheduled to be released some time next year.
