Lightning struck homes on Monday during the severe thunderstorms that passed through the region.

In Haverhill a home was hit and ignited a fire.  The fire was quickly put out. No injuries were reported.

In Waltham a woman was affected by a strike to her home.  She was checked out by paramedics and  said she was doing fine.

In Lynn a bolt zapped the upper floor of multi-family home.  The force was so strong it punched a hole in the building and started a fire.

Meanwhile in Connecticut seven golfers were hit by lightning on the Lake Isles Golf Course.  All seven were fine after being treated.

Hey guys here’s a helpful hint: if there is lightning and you’re standing in the middle of a wide open field-like a golf course-with a bag of metal poles on your back, GET OFF THE COURSE!
